The Living-Power Deck

Fifty-two who govern the Restoration now · the rank is the value
🜍 How to read the deck A true 52-card deck of the living — only people who hold power in the LDS Church right now, in 2026. Of every group in the hall, this one has the clearest chain of command: fifteen apostles ranked by strict seniority, with the senior man becoming prophet the moment his predecessor dies. So the four suits map its four centres, and the rank is the value — Ace the summit of that kind, down through King, Queen, Jack, 10…2. Read from Dossier VII's side: this is the house of Christian words and another God — we map the men and women who lead it, honestly and without caricature.
♠ Spades — The First Presidency & the Twelve. The living "prophets, seers & revelators."
♦ Diamonds — The Government. The Presiding Bishopric, the Seventy & the officers.
♥ Hearts — The Women. The general presidents of Relief Society, Young Women & Primary.
♣ Clubs — The Outer Orbit. The offshoots, the famous & the scholars.
✓ All 52 were verified online as living and in office on 2026-07-24 — but that pass checked the OFFICE, not the ages printed on the cards, and eight of those had already drifted. Nineteen of them were re-checked in full on 2026-08-26 and carry that date; the remaining thirty-three still rest on the July office-check alone — they are not known to be current. The whole top of this deck turned over in the last year. Russell M. Nelson died in September 2025, making Dallin H. Oaks the 18th President; then Jeffrey R. Holland — President of the Twelve for just ten weeks — died in December 2025. The Presiding Bishop became an apostle; a new one was called. A from-memory deck would have led with a dead prophet. Re-verify each name at every audit.
